There are no formal prerequisites. However, CompTIA recommends 3-4 years of IT experience, 2+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience, and foundational knowledge from certifications like Security+, CySA+, or PenTest+.

Topics include AI fundamentals for cybersecurity, securing AI systems through threat modeling and controls, AI-assisted security operations and automation, and AI governance, risk, and compliance frameworks including the EU AI Act and NIST AI RMF.

SecAI+ is a specialized certification focused on AI security, while Security+ covers foundational cybersecurity concepts and CySA+ focuses on threat detection and incident response. SecAI+ addresses the emerging intersection of AI and cybersecurity.

SecAI+ supports roles such as AI Security Specialist, AI Security Architect, MLOps Engineer with security focus, AI Governance Engineer, and AI Risk Analyst, with salary ranges typically between $110,000 and $190,000.

The certification is valid for three years and can be renewed through CompTIA's Continuing Education (CE) program.

- You must provide official proof of failure (score report) within 7 days of your failed exam via the submission form.
